Rehearsal with colin green

If you’ve been following me on twitter or talked to me in person, you may know that I’ve been rehearsing with Colin Green. I will be joining them this Saturday(the 1st) at Club Trip @11pm. Definitely come through if you’re in the area!

img_3673

img_3683 It’s tons of fun to work with these guys, they’re truly dedicated to their work. It’s insane how many gadgets and toys  they work with during their set.

img_3681 You may be wondering what instrument I’m playing… Well, I actually retired the saxophone years ago and traded it in for the Livid Block to do visuals for the show, super stoked!!!

What the sunday?

This Sunday was filled with everything. It started with me going to work, meeting up with a friend, rehearsal with Colin Green(more on that in another post), and then raging out to The Bloody Beetroots. I don’t know how I did so much in a day… but I did…

img_3516 After a chill work shift, I headed over to Lauren’s place to play with her new dog, Toby… Oh, and to kick it with Lauren.

img_3551 At night, I somehow ended up at HARD. I REEEAAALLY have no idea how I ended up there. Thanks to Rony, I ended up on the guestlist with a +1 and I couldn’t turn that down! Thanks Rony!

img_3582 I got there just in time for The Bloody Beetroots/Death Crew live set.

Mobile flicks – coachella

I think I’m finally letting go of Coachella and starting to realize that I’ll have to wait a year to experience it again. So here’s one of the last bits of content I have from the event(except the videos I took). Check out all the pics I took at Coachella on my iPhone! Click the pic below to view the pics!!

Milking it…

A couple of days back I was invited to work a shoot for a certain artist. Well today, I went to the studio where the shoot was held, and I must say that this place was MASSIVE!!!!

img_7176 The shoot took place at Milk Studios in Hollywood. I’ve been to tons of lots/stages, but this one is by far my favorite!!!

img_7234 They even have a cool restroom, just look at it!

img_7210 I happened to bump into my friend Daryl, he works at Milk as an intern.

img_7376 It was tons of fun being around great people who worked together to get the job done. I really do miss being on set, I don’t do it much… most of the time, I’m just in front of the computer editing away.

img_7390 I was geeking OUT!!!!

img_7446 Can’t wait until this is released, then I could tell you who I worked with :D . Stay posted!!!

Coachella 2010

My 2nd year at Coachella was beyond AMAZING! Why? Well, I went with a company(Zodiac USA) whom took care of me the whole time, I did visuals for Jason Bentley’s Coachella set that thousands of people saw, and I was around tons of great people and awesome music. This is my experience at Coachella Music & Arts Festival, check it out…

img_0636 About 4 days before said event, I received an email to see if I could work on visuals for Jason Bentley’s set at Coachella. I was beyond stoked for this amazing opportunity.. My work, at Coachella.. In front of TONS OF PEOPLE?!?! WHAT!! So immediately I started working my butt off on my computer a day before I left for the desert.

img_0654 After packing and making tons of calls/emails to make sure I had a ticket and a way to get to Coachella, I was then on my way to a jam packed weekend filled with adventure.

img_0723

img_0733

img_0731 I rode up to the desert with my friend Lauren & friends. Before driving a couple of hundred miles, we stopped to get some grub for the trip. Lauren and friends got tons of food… I bought nothing. This was also their first Coachella, so they were just being more than prepared.

img_0796 I stayed in a pretty baller Airstream that was provided by Zodiac USA(the company I was working for during Coachella).

img_0819

img_0825 Had a couple of friends chill for a bit.

img_0838

img_0841

img_0846 Then it was time for some Coachella!

img_0896

img_0930 One of the first performances I saw was Wale. He was kinda late and his performance was a bit short, but it was all fun.

img_0952

img_0955

img_0957 It gets pretty hot in Indio, where Coachella is held, so it’s kinda hard not to play in the water.

img_1073

img_1112 One of my favorite performances at Coachella was Jay Z. I’m not the hugest fan of rap, but Jay Z is a great artist and a great performer. He even invited Beyonce out to perform Forever Young with him, they have a crazy bond.

img_1052 EROL Alkan had a pretty legit set that I raved out to.

img_1152

img_1184 This was one of the hugest highlights for me while I was at Coachella. About 4 days before the event, I was asked to do Jason Bentley’s visuals for his set that was on Saturday. I was BEYOND astonished when I found out that the work I did was going to be displayed in the Sahara tent in front of tons of people!!! Being 19, this is probably one of the biggest things I’ve done yet!!!

img_1170 Rachel came over to the tent just because she heard my stuff was going to be up there. Thanks buddy!

img_1178 It was crazy! Super thanks to Saam Gabbay(creative director) who linked me up with Jason Bentley. Also, thanks to Brien Rullman and the whole visual team in the Sahara tent. I really appreciate everything!

img_1250 After I left the Sahara tent, I ran into Rusko and we had a little chat for a bit.

img_1311 Brett(Crooks & Castles) and Keith were my main homies throughout the trip.

img_1332

img_1366 Major Lazer was kinda really epic! Skerrit Boy was flying around everywhere(kinda scared me).

img_1393 Die Antwoord.. Fawkin’ Zef…

img_1417 These giiirls.

img_1432 Sleepyheads.

img_1465 These two(Desirae and Melissa) are AMAZING!! We worked together the whole time(including Keith). Couldn’t have asked for a better group to work with! <3 Zodiac USA crew!

img_1481

img_1547

img_1561

img_1586

img_1607

img_1609

img_1613 I ended my Coachella with tons of friends, running around, and dancing all night! Coachella 2010 was another great learning experience for me, I can’t wait for next year!

img_1706

img_1855 The next morning Rony and I had a video/photo shoot for Zodiac USA. We were all burnt out, but we killed the game. It was an awesome way to end our trip.

What time is it?

ADVENTURE TIME!!! Mike introduced me to this cartoon a while back. So good.. Check out the video below to go on an adventure!!!

This wednesday 4/7/10

It’s been quite a while since I’ve been out in the scene… Let’s just say I was in hibernation for a bit, but I believe I’m back(gotta prep for Coachella!!). This Wednesday started with me getting a nice package from Fed Ex in the AM…

img_3202

img_3200 Since I’ll be heading over to Coachella next weekend, I wanted to make sure that’ll have some new business cards to hand around. I was so stoked when I got these in, waaaay different from my first business cards I made for myself waaaay back.

img_3207 Afterward, I headed over to Rony’s place to chat about the weekend after next. Rony was also enjoying his new iMac that I helped him pick out, it’s MASSIVE!

img_3216

img_3237

img_3239

img_3267 My night was spent at The Roxy for some dubstep madness and to kick it with some good homies.

img_3277 Julie had a pretty baller Trouble & Bass tote bag that I was eyeing most of the night.

img_3294

img_3303 Super thanks to The Russian(Kosta) for getting me in The Roxy w/o having to wait in that super HUUUUUGE line. Good night! Check out more craze pics(like 12th Planet going all Skerrit Boy on chicks) after the JUMP!
