Djing the weekend
One of my new found hobbies is DJing. No, you won’t see me spinning at a club in Hollyhood or at your bestfriends wedding, but I usually end up DJing house parties or even photoshoots.
Saturday night I spun at a house party in the valley, thanks to Mike. I encountered several drunkards requesting stuff from Britney Spears to Drake. One thing that really annoyed me is when some dude claiming to be into sound production and ‘knowing’ how to read the waveform on the track kept begging to dj… I let him and he failed, miserably.
Sunday, we drove out to Silverwood Lake for the photoshoot. The shoot was seriously located in the middle of nowhere.

My homie, Rony, was actually doing the photoshoot. I had no idea that he was apart of this until we got to the area.
It was all fun. DJing in the middle of nowhere.
After the photoshoot was over, we headed over to the lake to chill out a bit before heading out to LA.

Weekend wars 7/18-19/09
Saturday 7/18 -
I’m not a huge fan of houseparties, but sometimes I make exceptions. Saturday night, I headed out to Belair for my friends birthday party. It was pretty chill, saw a lot of friends from highschool.
Sunday 7/19 -
Sunday I met up with my friend Jessica. Jessica is a motion graphics artist that I met when I was over at American Apparel. When I first met up with her in Downtown LA, she showed me around he new loft which is suuuper legit. We then headed over to Glendale so I could help her get a new Macbook Pro. While over there, she took me to this sweet ice cream truck that made AMAZING ice cream sandwiches.

Bpmp3 battle 7/15/09
Last night was craze. LA crews went head-to-head or should I say iPod-to-iPod in the Bpmp3 battle. It was a night full of fun, even though we were all ready to demolish the opposing team. If you didn’t know, I was on team Eatskeet. Surprisingly, we made it all the way to the finals. In the first round, we swooped team Deckstar away. In the next round, we were up against team From Elsewhere. From Elsewhere put up a tough match and it was a pretty close call, but we still took the win in that round. The final round was for all the Marbles. Eatskeet vs. Stones Throw. Unfortunately, Stones Throw came out with the better jams… it’s all good. Stones Throw definitely killed it. We both left with great prizes.

Bardot 7/12/09
Last night I went to Bardot in Hollywood to see two of my friends, Gomez Warren and DJ Excel(Audible Agent), spin a set.
Before the party started, I picked up two of my friends. They got their pre-game on but I was the DD.. I don’t “pre-game” so it’s all good.
Audible Agent had a killer set that actually surprised me. I knew they were good… but I did not know that they were THAAAAT GOOOOD.
After they were done, Gomez decided to fight people and stuff.. you know, the usual.

The past couple of days
this week has been non-stop for me. I’ve been out and about more than ever! I only go home to sleep and once I wake up, I’m usually out within a couple hours. Well, here are some pics from the past couple of days batched up into once post. Enjoy.
DUBSTEPPING AT THE ROXY 7/8/09 -
On Wednesday night I headed out to the Roxy with Sasha and Steph for a dubstep show. When we got to the venue, there was a huge line. Luckily for us, our friend Kosta got us in within seconds. Major wobbles throughout the night.

After the show, Steph and I headed over to a friend, Alex, kickback. This was actually Alex’s last night in L.A. for a couple of weeks, she’s heading out to Israel for a bit.
Since Sasha is heading out of the country to Europe and Argentina, we grouped up to spend our last night with her before she flew out the next day. It was a pretty simple night. We dropped by to club/venues and ended the night with some food at In-N-Out.
HIKING DURING THE DAY//PARTYING AT NIGHT 7/10/09 -
My Saturday started off with a great hike in Malibu with 3 of my friends. The hike was a lot tougher than I thought, but it was still a lot of fun.

Hours after hiking, we headed out to a surprise party and an apartment party in UCLA. Tons of people everywhere, but nothing that I’m not use to. Overall, it was loads of fun.
